A creator workshop and community gathering hosted at Meta's Austin offices during SXSW 2023, as part of Meta Prosper, Meta's program supporting Asian and Pacific Islander communities across its platforms.

The Problem

Meta wanted to drive authentic creator adoption of Reels among the AAPI creator community, not through a paid campaign, but through genuine education, community, and hands-on experience. The challenge was curating the right creators and building programming that felt valuable rather than promotional.

Our Work

We curated 50+ AAPI creators for the workshop and managed the full event experience at Meta's Austin offices. Programming featured prominent voices including Vivian Tu (@yourrichbff), David Suh, and Tejas Hullur, covering creator pay, business building, the Asian American Dream, and how creators and commerce intersect. The goal was simple: give creators the tools and community to build something that lasts, not just a one-off campaign moment.
